[va-bird] Highland County Eagles and Sparrows

Headed over to Highland County today to meet up with Patti Reum, Sandy
Batton and Sandy Heavener for another eagle forway. It was a frosty morning
that soon thrawed into a pleasant Highland spring day.

Although most of the day was spent searching and observing eagles, other
notable observations included

GRASSHOPPER SPARROW - several small flocks
VESPER SPARROW - one good size group along VA 644 south of intersection with
VA 640.
CHIPPING SPARROW

BALD EAGLE - 4 adults (including the Vaderpool BAEA perched along Jackson
River south of Monterey; Genseing BAEA perched along raceway (fish beds) Rt.
220 north of Monterey)

GOLDEN EAGLE - immature flying low over VA 644 heading south between
Monterey Mountain and VA 643.
