Kiptopeke's imm. male King Eider is still hanging around as of this morning.
Farther offshore in the Bay there, some 450 Horned Grebes bobbed around at
lunch time. A very pale adult Peregrine Falcon tried repeatedly to flush one
off the water for lunch, but with no luck. It spent more time later working
the Rock Pigeons on the concrete ships there. Snipe, Virginia Rail, and 2
Sedge Wrens were on Magotha Road; about 80-90 Tundra Swans called from the
middle of Magothy Bay. The Eurasian Wigeon continues proudly at Ramp Rd pond,
on
the refuge. A nice day.
