VA-Birders,
I was able to watch between 2:30 pm and 4 pm, and saw a few hawks migrating
past the abbey.
Black Vulture 14
Turkey Vulture 26
Harrier 2
Sharp-shinned 13
Cooper's 4
Red-shouldered 4
Red-tailed 9
I also noticed today that whereas there were about a dozen Siskins at the
feeders, several flocks of Siskins flew past our ridge top, without stopping.
There must have been more than 50 altogether. A handful of Purple Finches flew
by, as well as scores of Waxwings.
Three Ravens were back and forth around the farm most of the afternoon.
