[va-bird] Harvey's Knob Hawkwatch Monday (31 Oct 2005) 26 Raptors

Baron Gibson kept the count today. Considerably warmer today (a parkway
traveler decided to take a nap in the warm sun near the hawkwatchers, and
started
snoring), light NW winds with a few hawks passing by far out from the lookout
for the most part. The winds died late afternoon and the flight came to a
screeching halt. Baron's first hawk of the day was a striking male Harrier, the
gray ghost, a fitting bird for Halloween. On hand to help spot were Mike
Crowder
and Mike Purdy.
