Well Harvey's Knob keeps plodding along, we've had 19 hawks in the past 3
days, all Redtails. Baron Gibson had 2 on Monday, Joyce Holt spotted 5 on
Tuesday and Bill Grant recorded 12 today (Wed). I guess we're eternal
optimists,
always thinking tomorrow will be better......actually, tomorrow should be
pretty good, the day after a cold front passed through, cold NW
winds...........and, we're due a few more GE's.
There were 3 Fox Sparrows at the feeders today, also a Chippy and a
Whitethroat....and a gazillion juncos. At one point, a short stretch of the
Appalachian Trail turned slate gray where so many were eating the millet
provided for
them. Elevation there is approx. 2400 ft.
