Weather:
Another lovely East wind prevailed today which seems key to a good day
at the site. Virtually cloudless sky with a slight haze, pretty good
visibility. Temperature 75-80 F, low humidity.
Observations:
A 9 BE day, two of which were full adults. As expected the slight
majority of birds came through the eastern side of the ridge with a good
mix of species represented.
Good number of non-raptor species recorded today also.
A.Crow 15+, A.Goldfinch 20+ in thistle N of lot, C.Swift 65+, 2 Red-headed
Woodpeckers, 2 Pileated Woodpeckers, 1 Empid, C.Waxwing 50+, 1 B.Oriole, 1
Red-eyed Vireo calling from woods S of lot, C. Raven 6+, 2 F.Crows.
