Visitors:
Good to see Sam Shoemaker and his wife for the first time in a couple
years.  

Lots of folks enjoying the nice day and heading up to Bear's Den.  


Weather:
It was blue, it was windy (7-15mph most of the day), it was westerly,
(usually northwest), it was somewhat warm, but never felt that way.  Temp
peaked at 63, started at 45. 

Raptor Observations:
The Golden was an adult at one-fifty PM.  

Pretty slow day, though the last two hours picked up the pace a little.  

Non-raptor Observations:
The Blooming Onion I, the Outback Steakhouse blimp leaving State College,
PA and heading for the NC State/FSU game at Tallahassee next Saturday.

3 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers
20 Blue Jays
158 American Robins
ca. 200 Cedar Waxwings
3 White-throated Sparrows
25 American Goldfinches
40 Purple Finches
500 Starlings
200 Grackles
3 Yellow-shafted Flickers
500 mixed icterid flock
lots of unidentified passerines

Two Jack Russells, a Doberman, several golden retrievers, and a few mutts.



Predictions:
It will be Monday.  The Patriots will win, but they won't cover.  Tedy
Bruschi will be just fine.
