Observation start time: 08:30:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 6.5 hours
Official Counter: Bev Leeuwenburg
Observers: BJ Westervelt, Jen Folts, Ralph Wall
Visitors:
From what I can discern from Bev's chicken-scratch (sorry, my dear) Sandy
Holton? and Marge Gayle? joined a few of the usual suspects.
Weather:
Winds were out of the WSW for the entirety of the day, starting off at 2
Beaufort and climbing to 4-6 after the second hour of observation.
Cloudcover did not follow suit. 60% for starters, dropping to nada by
the second hour.
Temp topped off in the low 70's.
Raptor Observations:
Nothing fancy, just the essentials.
Bald Eagle breakdown: All adult birds (1 in the 11 o' clock hour, 2 in
the following hour).
None of the Osprey we DIDN'T see were packing a lunch...
Non-raptor Observations:
Nothing of note.
Predictions:
I will have 109 Sharp-shinneds and this report will be a day late...
