Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end   time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Todd M. Day

Observers:        BJ Little, Jon Little

Visitors:
Larry Meade stopped by for a spell.

Mom with twins, Declan and Kieren.

A Springer Spaniel named Bess.  Two Weimaraners, one of which was a rare
blue form of the breed.  A black Border Collie-mutt, and three great brown
mutts.

Weather:
A pretty late-summer day, temp never crested 80, sky was blue for the first
couple hours, then a nice mixture of clouds.  Wind was westerly, mostly
light, though a bit breezy at times.

Raptor Observations:
Pretty slow, but what I would expect in early September here.  Two of the
four Bald Eagles were adults, the other two were born this year.  A couple
others were seen but they seemed to be patrolling territory. No Osprey were
avec fish. Several Red-taileds milling about, but none with obvious
migratory intent.

Non-raptor Observations:
Two Olive-sided Flycatchers.  One Blue-winged Warbler.  An Eastern
Screech-Owl singing.  One flock of 50 Cedar Waxwings, and maybe a couple
dozen others seen during the day.  Chimney Swift numbers were fairly low,
just 25 or so noted.  One Cliff Swallow. One White-eyed Vireo.

Predictions:
Craney Island should be good.  I'm not going to get nearly enough sleep.
The Volvo isn't going anywhere.  Gas prices aren't done yet.
