Observers:
Visitors:
Nary a soul.
Weather:
Chilly with a light but contstant breeze from the NW at 2. Mostly cloudy,
giving way to all cloudy, giving way to mostly blue. Temps were 32-40.
Raptor Observations:
Somewhere in the noon hour, an immature Red-tailed screamed, "Last call!"
I should have listened and packed up then, as it wasn't kidding.
This was the last day of the season, and like the last couple of weeks, it
went out with a whimper.
Non-raptor Observations:
A few hundred Cedar Waxwings were about. Flickers seemed to still be
moving. Goldfinches and a few Purple Finches were present. Blue Jays
still transporting acorns. The biggest Raven I have ever seen. The
Clarke County police checking stickers of the cars parked in the commuter
lot. Amazingly, they didn't get a single violator. Good thing Topo
wasn't there, else we might have lost him for good.
Also a good thing that the season is over, as the Covenant Transport truck
is certainly a nuisance.
Predictions:
Elmer Fudd said it best.
