Weather:
At least it wasn't humid.  However, there's something to be said about
"dry" heat.  It can get HOT!  Mostly sunny, extreme thick haze, and warm
temps prevailed throughout the day.  At least there was just enough of a
breeze to keep it within the tolerable range in the shade.
Wind:  mostly variable throughout the morning 1-5km/h the increasing to
6-11km/m S to SE switching to V and back to S.;
Temp:  27c increasing to 36.5c (That's 95.5 degrees farenheit in the
SHADE!!!)
Humidity:  52% dropping to 33% by 1 p.m. then slowing climbing back up to
40% with increasing cloud clover.
Cloud Cover:  mostly sunny with few puffy white clouds in just the right
places (but no birds) then increasing by afternnon.

Raptor Observations:
A SLOW day!  They were few and far between and those that were were going
off on the east side of the ridge quickly lost in the thick haze.  The
local Red-tails were observed throughout the day, hunting over the ridges.

Non-raptor Observations:
Chimney Swift; Barn Swallow; lots of butterflies around the wildflowers.

Ruby-throated Hummingbird:  2

Predictions:
clouds moving in.
