Weather:
First, a big "Thank You" to Clair Mellinger who made it up to the mountain
Thursday morning with approach of Isabel. Unfortunely no raptors flying
to reward true dedication!
Friday morning:
Bands from Isabel continued producing rain and low clouds over the ridge
with rain extending into the Shenandoah Valley. Most areas received less
than predicted rainfalls but with ground already saturated by an above
average rainy spring and summer and high winds took their toll on many
trees. It will takes days, if not weeks for cleanup and with widespread
power outages, long distance travel is limited.
By 3 p.m. EST, winds, what little remained, were out of the N, temp 22.5C,
63% humidity.
Observations:
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 2 (1 female, 1 un)
Predictions:
Great with partly sunny skies
