B-h nuthatches squeaking up a storm; heavy northbound robin flight at dawn;
lots of g-c kinglets, goldfinches, and bluebirds; 2 horned larks; pipits;
saw adult gannets over the bay for the first time this fall, and there
were plenty of them; a d-c cormorant flew in and perched in a pine (!) by
the hawkwatch; a few monarchs and several cloudless sulphurs.
