Non-raptor Observations:
WOW, what a great day.
First I would like to thank everyone for helping me find and count today.
Good friends, good weather and we got some great looks at the Hawks and
had a great time.
Even though we have not had the Broady numbers as some sites to the North
of us do to what I believe is because of weather conditions, we are having
a great year.
Already we are ahead of last year in Ospreys at 178, 12 from the all time
record, Bald Eagles at 57, Broads at 4,080, Apprx. 1,500 more then last
year and I feel more to come in the next 2-4 days due to numbers to the
North of us and Perigrines which we average 16 a year already at 18 with 7
today. I cannot wait to see what the rest of the season brings. Bring on
the Accipiters, Redtails and maybe a good year for Goldens.
Predictions:
Tuesday:
A mainly sunny sky. High 74F. Winds light and variable
Winds at 3000 ft,,,,,CALM
Hawks will be out and up. Everybody bring your good eyes tomorrow.
