Visitors:
Small groups of local hikers and a few Parkway visitors. John and June
Clark, recent residents transfered from Atlanta. Other observers: Tad
Finnell, John & Sharon Williamson, Dillard Childress, Jim Hylton, Rexanne
Bruno, Katie James, Bill & Ann Tucker.
Weather:
100 percent cloud cover for the entire period. NE winds, mostly level 3.
Visibility went from 30 to 15 Km by the end of the watch. Rain and fog
ended the watch.
Raptor Observations:
We observed one TV on several occasions. No local RT.
Non-raptor Observations:
Not many passerines at all. One hummer and about six Monarchs. Katie
and I stopped at the Quarry overlook for about half an hour after quitting
Harvey's and had one hawk go through, but the fog and sprinkles had us
abandon that spot also.
Predictions:
Better? Calling for warm-up in temmps.
