Observers:
Visitors:
Lynchburg College ecology class.
Weather:
About 90% cloud coverage throughout the day with a mix of cirrus and
thicker clouds made for good visibility. ENE-NE 2-8 mph with a high of 84
F.
Observations:
Several hawks gleaned in the mid afternoon was it. Birds were higher today
then the last several days. Had a report of a kettle of 400 last Sunday
just to our south, when we had less than that for the day. Those birds
would have passed us to the east, which reinforces my thought that this is
where a lot of this week's BW's vanished to down here.
For the afternoon:
Monarchs - 5
Non Monarchs - 2
Saddlebags - 4
Green Darners - 4
Blue Jays - 20
