[va-bird] HIGHLAND COUNTY

Friday afternoon, February 22nd.

Loggerhead Shrike - Rt. 607, SE of Mustoe.

Golden Eagle - west of Rt. 607, Mustoe.

Loggerhead Shrike - Rt.637 SE of Hightown.

Rough-legged Hawks (4) - Rt. 638/637 SE of Hightown.  One partial dark
phase.

Red-headed Woodpeckers (2) - Rt. 637 SE of Hightown.

Wild Turkeys (34) - Rt. 644.

No hawks or eagles seen north of Blue Grass, misty fog-like weather,
even Ravens and Crows were not flying.

Regretfully, Rosemarie and I had to leave our group (Bob Anderson,
Mitchell Byrd) and return home and did not get to bird on Saturday.  If
other unreported species were seen, I will advise.
