[va-bird] Gunston Cove and Accotink Bay

We birded Gunston Cove and Accotink Bay from Ft. Belvoir this morning.  Ame=
rican Coot numbers have dropped to roughly 100.  A solitary Tundra Swan con=
tinues to swim in Accotink Bay.  Also observed:

Osprey (many)
Bald eagle (a few)
Wood duck (2)
Horned grebe (2)
Pied-billed grebe
Common merganser (2)
Ring-necked duck (1, female)
Bufflehead (16)
Lesser scaup (12)
Tree swallow (many, away to the south end of Gunston Cove)
Eastern bluebird
Canada goose
Great blue heron
Mourning dove
Northern mockingbird
Blue jay
Ring-billed gull
White-throated sparrow
Red-shouldered hawk
Forster=E2=80=99s tern
Unidentified crow
Northern cardinal
Northern flicker
Common grackle
American robin
Dark-eyed junco
European starling
Ground hog
