Howdy Partners!
I'm trying to round up a couple more members for the Gunston sector of the
Ft. Belvior CBC (next Sunday 12-29). We're doing all right so far but we'd
like to have a few more people in the posse.
You may not know about the Gunston sector, but I assure you, it's the
rootinest, tootinest sector in the whole dang count! There are lots of areas
that are not accessible to birders any other times of the year. We've got
deep woods, open fields, marshes, little streams, big creeks, a river, a
couple of bays flowing into the Potomac, and (saving the best for last) a
sewage treatment plant!!! There are many areas of private property that we
are able to bird, as well as the newly acquired Meadowood Farm.
Don't be shy!! Come on down and be deputized! All skill levels are welcome.
Half the challenge on these things is *finding* the birds, and a novice can
spot a bird just as easily as an expert! And right now, we're looking to put
more eyes in the fieldâ¦â¦â¦..this means you!!!
