[va-bird] Gulls on the Nansemond

Hello all. I spent 35-40 minutes this morning (7:15 - 7:50 AM) scanning the
daily flight of gulls going up the Nansemond River here in Suffolk. Still
fairly cold here (26 deg. F) but the weatherman promises temps close to 50
degrees today!

Here is a short list of sightings from this morning. I'm sure I missed a
LOT more Lesser Black-backeds and Laughing Gulls.

Bald Eagle 1 3rd year (at least 5 different
eagles seen here over the
past 7 days)
Laughing Gull 4 flying over
Ring-billed Gull ~16,000+ flying over
Herring Gull ~6,000+ flying over
Iceland Gull 1 2nd winter flying over (I've been waiting for
this bird -
#186 for the yard!)
Lesser Black-backed Gull 7 ad or 3rd winter flying over - Avg of 1 every
5
min
Great Black-backed Gull ~85+ flying over
