VA BIRDers,
During today's DC CBC, the group working the Alexandria subsector found a
Greater White-fronted Goose mixed in with the ca. 750 Canada Geese just off
GW Parkway, between the northern portion of the Dyke Marsh picnic area and
the Stone Bridge. It was fairly close to the shore this morning and the
tide was midway and going down.
Also notable was a fine American Robin flight northbound over the Stone
Bridge between 4 and 5 pm. The count was 2520 birds.
