What are those big birds soaring over the Great Falls of the Potomac? Not a
hawk, or an eagle, but a vulture. Come learn more about the vultures that
you see soaring over Great Falls Park. A Park Ranger will discuss the many
images that these birds have come to represent as you take a walk in the
park, observing them in their natural habitat. Meet the ranger at the
Visitor Center desk. The program is free. Reservations are required

Sunday, August 25 HERONS
2 ? 3 PM
Join a Park Ranger to learn about this majestic bird of the Potomac River
and Great Falls. One of the most watchable wildlife at the park, the heron
can frequently be seen from the Overlooks as it stands motionless at the
water's edge awaiting an unsuspecting fish. Program is free. Meet at the
Ranger Program Area.
