Since last Saturday, YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS have been the dominant migrant I
have encountered at both Great Falls and Riverbend Parks, and even at
Leesylvania. Hopefully the majority of other warbler species is yet to come.
Today at Great Falls NP was no exception, YELLOW-RUMPS. Other warblers were
OVENBIRD, PROTHONOTARY, and PARULA. Other migrants included WOOD THRUSH,
RED-EYED VIREOS, and BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHERS. Back home I was delighted to see
an
AMERICAN REDSTART and RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET.
What's happening at Monticello, anyone?
