I birded Great Falls National Park with a friend from
out-of-state after the rain stopped around noon today.
Highlight was a singing male NASHVILLE WARBLER along
the River Trail south of the falls.  Other notables
were as follows:

black-throated green warbler (singing male)
American redstart (wow! the "highlighter orange" is
amazing)
northern parula
worm-eating warbler
palm warbler
black-and-white warbler
Louisiana waterthrush
yellow-rumped warbler (of course!)
Baltimore oriole
blue-headed vireo
red-eyed vireo
Forster's tern
and a few more
49 species in all.
