I was very pleasantly surprised this morning to find 4 Great Egrets hunting in
our smallest pond, here at the monastery. As of 7 pm they are still making
great inroads into our bass and bluegill populations. This is the first time in
3 years I have seen them here, since I usually have Great Blue Heron or Green
Heron, if anything.
