This is very interesting. In my yard I had my second ever Wood Thrush singing
the other night. The other one was a migrating bird, but obviously this one is
a local.
I wonder what's going on? I would think that the young are out of the nest by
now and territory lines and attracting mates are no longer important. Then
again, what I know about Wood Thrushes could fit into a thimble and still have
room for an elephant!
I wonder if he's trying to nest a second time?
