Louisiana Waterthrush arrived this week at our house. They have been heard
every morning for four days and both seen and heard yesterday afternoon. This
afternoon Joyce and I saw at least 50 Northern Gannets feeding downriver of
York River (George P. Coleman) bridge. This makes three years we have seen
them there in early spring. Ned Brinkley recently said to watch for them
there. The boat ramp at Gloucester Point is a good vantage point as well as at
VIMS.
