Nine members of the Northern Virginia Bird Club turned out for a glorious
morning at Sky
Meadows Park this morning, Sat. 11/25.  Our best birds were a GOLDEN EAGLE
soaring almost over
head, and a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE.  The Shrike was on the fenceline near the
small ponds on
the part of the park to the east of Rt. 17.  We also had a 7 seven
woodpecker day, including
the park's signature Red-headed Woodpeckers.  Complete list:
