Birders..... Route number correction: 671 and not 617. The owl
location is on Rt. 671 about a mile east of Rt. 15 north of I-64 Zion
Crossroads exit. Look for a farm pond on the right and large fields on
both sides of the road. Sorry for the sloppy reporting!

Subject: Short-eared Owls
Birders,
At 10:15 AM today, Rosemarie and I observed two Short-eared Owls and
two Norther Harriers on Rt. 617, near Zion Crossroads. This is the
same location that a few years ago gave such a great owl show with up
to 14 birds in the air at the same time. Hopefully, we can return
again during prime time for an encore.
Happy birding,
George Harris
