I'm forwarding this note I wrote to Bart because he found an apparently shot
crow in his yard. I thought this might beof general interest because I find
Fish , Game and Wildlife's policy of poisoning the crows in Alexandria
appalling.

Dear Bart,
It's been open season on crows if you've been reading the Post. Fish, Game
and Wildlife has been poisoning them in Alexandria bythe thousands. They
think there are too many of them. Consequently, some people think this gives
them permission to shoot them. As a result, dead hawks have been found , too.
One of my fool neighbors was doing target practice on my backyard crows. I'd
like to shoot him.
Contact Fish and Wildlife if you disagree with their policy.
