[va-bird] Fwd: Birding Monticello

All,

Rick and Kerry Gross, a couple of new birders might be birding at Monticello Park tomorrow morning. They are looking for someone to bird with them for a bit. I am going to try to meet them in the park at 7 a.m., but I have stuff going on at home that might not make this possible.

If you happen to be birding the park early tomorrow morning, I told Kerry that they would probably be able to find someone willing to take a turn or two through the park with them. Please don't make a liar out of me.

Kerry,

Good hearing from you. I am not sure I will be able to be at Monticello tomorrow morning. If I am there, I will be happy to spend an hour or so birding with you and Rick. Don' t know what will be happening in the park tomorrow, but today was a pretty good day in the park.

If you don't see me in the park, introduce yourself to anyone you see birding the park. Tell them that you are new birders. I am pretty sure you'll find someone to take a couple of turns around the park with you.

Also, you may wish to check out my web site at www.homepage.mac.com/ pmkane. You'll find some information on the Northern Virginia birding community at the site, including a list of local bird clubs and bird walks. I can recommend the Northern Virginia Bird Club and the Sunday mourning Friends of Dyke Marsh walk.

Stick with the birding. If I don't see you tomorrow, I expect to bump into you and Rick out there real soon. Welcome to the Northern Virginia birding community.

Regards,

Paul
