Subject: [vnps-pot] Looking for watershed/wildlife friendly backyards
Calling all Watershed-friendly and Wildlife-friendly yards! We are currently
looking for sites in Alexandria, Arlington, and Falls Church to include on the
Watershed-friendly Garden Tour, which is scheduled for Sunday, June 5th, 2005
from 1-5 PM. If your yard features native plants, rain barrels, rain gardens,
water features, cisterns, backyard habitat, or other environmentally friendly
features, please consider taking part in the tour.
All you need is enthusiasm to show our your yard to visitors! We'll do the
rest. We will advertise the tour and provide resources for your visitors on
watershed-friendly and wildlife-friendly gardening. See the attached
brochure from last year for more information.
If you are interested, or know of a yard or public site you would recommend for
the tour, please contact Aileen Winquist at 703-228-3610 or
awinquist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx by March 30th.
