Hello Everyone,
Early this morning at Fort Smith Park in Arlington, there was a silent
Gray-cheeked Thrush along the oval trail that sits at the edge of the forest.
Peter Ross saw a Veery. This is a few days earlier than I have seen/heard
Gray-cheeked at the park in years past. Earlier, I also looked up to see a
silouhette of a large bird in a tree and found a full adult Bald Eagle staring
down at me.
Warblers included Black-throated Green, BT Blue, Common Yellowthroat,
Yellow-rumped, Blackpoll, Ovenbird, and Northern Parula.
Yesterday afternoon in my neighborhood of Courthouse, there was a Blue Grosbeak
singing from a large tree, which was a surprise considering it is a concrete
jungle in that area!

Arlington
