At 5:50 Monday evening (2/13) I had the treat of watching a Short-eared Owl
fly over the fields along Rt 628 on the south side of the Blandy
Experimental Farm in Clarke County, VA. The bird eventually perched in a
tree on the Blandy side of the road about 30 feet directly over my head.
