Decided that Huntley was my backyard for the purposes of the Great Backyard
Bird Count this morning. Highlight was three fox sparrows in the new brush
pile in the field on the right just before the platform. Also had fun
watching an adult sharpie terrorizing flickers over the Woodcock meadow. As
expected this winter, almost no berry eaters: 1 robin, 1 yellow-rump, 1
bluebird, 1 hermit thrush, 0 waxwings.
