VA-Birders,
We are back in the fog again here at the monastery, and the only advantage to
the weather is it has stopped a lot of migrants here that I probably would
otherwise have missed. On the other hand, it was hard to see more than fifty
feet at times today. This evening I flushed a Fox Sparrow feeding among a patch
of lambs'quarters along with quite a few Song Sparrows, Chipping Sparrows and
Juncos.
3 Siskins persist with the Goldfinch flock, as well as a couple of House
Finches.
The Fox Sparrow (which seems to have arrived rather early) is species number
100 for the month here at the Abbey.
