Hello Everyone,
Today I visited Fort CF Smith Park in Arlington in the morning and Potomac
Overlook Park briefly in the afternoon.
Highlight of the day was undoubtedly the WARBLING VIREO I heard and then saw at
Ft CF Smith as it called from a tall tree, then came down to lower branches.
There were also two lingering DARK-EYED JUNCOS near the bird stream, though no
Vesper was around as reported by Val Kitchens yesterday. There were many
YELLOW-RUMPS, and as I was about to leave I heard both my first-of-year
OVENBIRD and a NORTHERN PARULA.
Potomac Overlook was overflowing with Gnatcatchers, and the first RED-EYED
VIREOS (2) I have seen this year.
