The Northern Virginia Bird Club held our regularly scheduled monthly walk
today, Thu. 4/19.
These walks are on the 3d Thursday of every month and all are welcome. Our
best birds today
were 3 LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH, 7 PALM WARBLERS and 8 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS.
There were lots of
RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS, a mess of CHIPPING SPARROWS, 3 HERMIT THRUSHES and 2
BROWN THRASHERS. For the first
time this year I heard a significant amount of Yellow-rump song. Maybe
there is hope after
all. Full list follows: (H is heard only)
