Howdy all,
Just a quick note.
Today was very slow at the banding station. We only managed 10 birds for the
morning. The NE winds were a major problem but the other factor was the lack
of birds in the area.
As a side note, I am going to try my luck on one of Brian Patteson's pelagics
tomorrow. Me and the sea are not the best of friends and it sounds like they
have had some rough seas recently. So I am a bit apprehensive. Anyway, I am
not going to be at the banding station tomorrow, but Shannon is going to be
covering for me. I hope she has a better day tomorrow than we had today.
Here's are the totals for the day 5/23:
Common Yellowthroat 2
Northern Waterthrush 1
American Goldfinch 3
Indigo Bunting 1
Swainson's Thrush 1
Gray-cheeked Thrush 1
Gray Catbird 1
TOTAL ------------------------ 10
Cheers,
Jethro Runco
