Howdy all,
The last two days have been rather slow still. I was hopeful today, but come
10:30am the wind shifted and picked up. Again. Today was a nice day and had a
few more birds. Yesterday was a bomb. Today, we added two more species to the
season's list of birds banded: RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER and YELLOW-SHAFTED
FLICKER. Not much else to report.
Totals for 3/27:
Yellow-rumped Warbler 3
TOTAL -------------------------- 3 Exciting eh?
Totals for 3/28:
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Carolina Chickadee 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler 4
Pine Warbler 2
Eastern Phoebe 2
Hermit Thrush 1
Song Sparrow 1
Red-bellied Woodpecker 1
Yellow-shafted Flicker 1
TOTAL ---------------------------- 14
Today we also caught three birds that were banded last spring. One was a
CAROLINA CHICKADEE so not that unusual but the other two were Yellow-rumps.
Those
are always fun!
Cheers,
Jethro
