[va-bird] First Landing SP 5/24-5/26:Lincoln's Sparrow

Howdy all,

The last three days have not quite been the busiest days we have seen this
season. In fact, it was more like March numbers. But lucky for us, not March
species. The best bird for the three days was a LINCOLN'S SPARROW that was
banded
on the 25th. It was a new species for the banding station as well. Although
everything else was expected, we have finally seen our first small push of
Empidonaxs into the area. Also still good number of thrushes being around. On
the
25th, we caught not one, but two, PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS. We have also caught a
few GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHERS the last few days as well.
The pelagic out of Hatteras went well on the 24th. Highlighted by two close
Herald Petrels, and the fact that I didn't get sick.

Here are the totals for 5/24:
