VA-Birders,
I had several flocks of Pine Siskins fly over today, the latest of which was
about 5 pm, and looked to be almost 40 birds. All in all, I think I saw more
than 80 Siskins today. There were 8 Purple Finches (6 males) at the feeders
today, with a few House Finches and several score Goldfinches.
Finally, I saw my first Winter Wren of the season. It was investigating several
stone walls which are under construction, and climbed all over the scaffolding.
