I was surprised this morning by two FIELD SPARROWS singing at different
spots along our road in Gloucester. I have never heard them here before.
Yesterday (4/19) there were still 2 NORTHERN GANNETS flying over the York
River at Gloucester Point.
This morning there was a lone female SURF SCOTER swimming around the boat
ramps at the Point. Scoters are common farther downriver, but I have never
seen one so close in here. There was also a single COMMON LOON still around.
