All: I got a bit of a surprise today while out birding with my
Ornithology class. We saw the usual things including a Broad-winged
Hawk, Barn Swallows, Tree Swallows, and Rough-winged Swallows. But the
surprise of the day was a female Rose-breasted Grosbeak. It seems early
for one, but there she was for the whole class to see.
