Birders,
This morning Rosemarie and I saw/heard the following birds in Fauquier
County.
Route 755 (Grassdale Road) (off Rt. 651 to Summerduck) - BOBOLINKS (27
male), Horned Larks (2).
Phelps Wildlife Management Area - Rt. 632 - wetland near "Sighting-in
Range".
11 Warbler species: Hooded (4), Y-B Chat (8), Prairie (10), LA
Waterthrush (2), Yellow-rumped (1), N. Parula (15), Ovenbird (3),
Cerulian (2) (passing thru?), Chestnut-sided (2), Black & White (7) and
Common Yellow-throat (11).
Flycatchers Great Crested, Acadian, E. Phoebe and E. Kingbird. Lots of
White-eyed and Red-eyed Vireos, one Blue-headed Vireo. Some other
birds included Indigo Buntings, Gnatcatchers, Song, Field and SWAMP (1)
Sparrows, Kingfisher.................................
Waders at the wetland: Solitary SP (22), Spotted SP (7), Greater
Yellow-legs (2), W. Snipe (1), Killdeer (2).
