[va-bird] Fall Migration or What?

Greeting to all:

Most of us I am sure are already looking for and have seen some fall migrates.

Just to prove that its still summer and time to raise a family, a pair of
American Goldfinches were seen this afternoon gathering nesting material to
build a nest. Both the male and female was seen taking part of a spider nest.
The male already had a beak full of nesting material before going for the
spider nest.

The male had started its fall molt and had lost most of his black cap.

I have one record of a pair building a nest in August.
