I received a call yesterday from Glen Stone who was checking on a job site in
Isle of Wight County and he asked me to help him identify a bird he was looking
at right then. He described what seems to be a Eurasian Collared Dove. I have
been gone most of the summer maybe others have seen this bird and its no big
deal. Since the only others I have heard about are on the Eastern Shore those
living in the Isle of Wight area might be able to look for this bird, which
seems to be expanding its range. He saw it at the corner of Longview Drive and
Oliver Drive which is just off route 10 not far over the county line from
Suffolk.
