We went down to the Eastern Shore this weekend for a R&R weekend. Birding
highlights include a RED NECKED GREBE in Chincoteague Refuge, 5 HARLEQUIN
DUCKS (1 male and 4 female) off Island 4 of the CBBT, along with many SURF,
BLACK, and 4 WHITE WINGED SCOTERS. There were GREAT CORMORANTS on most of
the islands. PURPLE SANDPIPERS were seen off Island 4 also. We managed to
find the EURASIAN WIGEON at Eastern Shore about 3 PM Sunday also.
We also had a possible KING RAIL at the marsh on Magotha Rd, but we are
still debating that while listening to the tapes.
A full list will be posted when I get it all worked out.
