Hello all
Just got back from the Eastern Shore where Pat & I did a little weekend R& R .
We went to do a little catch up birding on some missed species from the Spring
visit . Glad to see that a few folks back here got to see the Sedge Wrens &
Sandhill Cranes . Sorry Mike but I got your message & I am glad you got to see
the Wrens . Any way it was good to get away & it was nice to run into Ned in
search of the Elegant Tern . I too missed this bird . Pat & I went out at low
tide this morning & we stayed up to 10 am . No Tern in sight . Some Shorebirds
made up for it . We had the following this morning where the Elegant Tern
should of been .
Black -- bellied Plover
Semipalmated Plover
Am. Oystercatcher
both Yellowlegs
Willet
Spotted Sandpiper
Whimbrel -- at Willis Warf
Sanderling -- at senic pull off CBBT
Semipalmated Sandpiper
Western Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper
Short -- billed Dowitcher
Over on the trail near Swans Cove we had a couple of Warblers as a bonus treat
. Yellow , Prairie , & Common Yellowthroat .
All in all a quite relaxing weekend & good birding .
