Ten birders joined me for today's version of the Dyke Marsh walk. It was a very
slow day today, with virtually no migrants. However, Flickers (18 of them)
seemed everywhere. The best bird was an adult Broad-winged Hawk that flew low
over the marina. There were fledgling titmice and Common Yellowthroats with
attending parents. Other than that, there's not a whole lot to say.
Oh, one note: Birders should know that the Haul Road is now closed north of the
Dogleg until December 14 for boardwalk reconstruction actrivities.
Following is a list for our records. It's a bit of a snoozer. Sorry. However,
we could not do a full route because of inability to access the Haul Road
peninsula.
